Crafty Knit & Stitch
Crafty Knit & Stitch has already delighted us with the Poppy 100 boat back in November; over Christmas they joined up with local children from Tots on the Hill, Whitchurch Pre-School and Whitchurch Primary to give us the Three Kings as Christmas trees. Gill Williamson, a local artist who runs Crafty Knit & Stitch says, “We are thrilled to have the chance to use the boat as a display space for our imaginations until the flowers appear in the Spring - keep your eyes open for what’s coming next.”
Gill and the group meet every Thursday to work on their own projects and also to create community art such as yarn bombing Whitchurch Bridge in 2017 and totem poles on Pangbourne Meadow in 2018. Join us at The Old Rectory Stables every Thursday from 2pm to 4pm or 7pm to 9pm with your knitting, crochet, needlework and crafts or just for a cuppa - everyone is welcome - we have lots of expertise to pass on if you’re just starting out.
